What We Do

Who Are We?
The Progressive Conservative Youth of Alberta (PCYA) is a group of young conservatives between the ages of 14 and 25 inclusive who are members of the Progressive Conservative Association of Alberta (PCAA). This means if you have a PC membership and are between 14-25, you are already part of this group!

What Are We?
We are energetic, enthusiastic, and excited about the future of our Party and our province. As a group, we are the future of Alberta politics.

We are a grassroots driven and inclusive organization that always welcomes new members. Our goal is to inspire young people to become more involved and engaged in the political process.

What Can We Do For You?
PCYA is an excellent place to start networking with other like-minded youth, and make an impact on your province. As a group, we plan several fun events throughout the year so that youth can interact with other PC party members, including their government representatives (MLA's), and their constituency organizations. Not sure which constituency is yours? Well, find out by simply entering your postal code
here

Our executive consists of a diverse group of youth from across Alberta, who contribute to the overall functioning of the organization according to their constitutional roles. If you are interested in becoming part of the PCYA executive, take a look at our "Meet the Executive" page, and familiarize yourself with the various roles. Vice President positions are voted upon each year at the PC Annual General Meeting (which is held in varying cities across Alberta depending on the year); however, directors can be appointed at any time. We strongly encourage youth to get involved by running for executive positions, and if you want to join today, send us an e-mail and our executive can nominate you for a director's position!

How Can You Join Us?
If you are interested in becoming a member of the Progressive Conservative Party of Alberta, please click
here and buy a membership for $5.00. Membership in the PC Association of Alberta also makes you a member of your local constituency association, and a member of the PCYA if you are a youth. This will put you on the mailing lists of the Provincial and local Associations so you will receive newsletters and other information about Party and local Constituency activities such as annual general meetings, public meetings, social events, policy meetings, etc.
